Before you begin

1. Make the recording in the quietest place possible.

2. Test the level of your microphone, making sure when played back your voice sounds loud and clear and without any background noise.

3. Try to speak at the same level during each stage of the recording process. Speak clearly, at normal speed and with a natural intonation.

4. Do not change the meaning of any of the expressions to be recorded: a GPS device is not a toy and false or unclear directions could cause an accident.

5. If you wish, you can record the expressions in a different language or in a different way but, again, be sure not to change their meaning.
